Canyon Diablo meteorites are fragments of an asteroid that impacted the Arizona desert about 50,000 years ago. They were discovered near the Barringer Crater (Meteor Crater), USA. These meteorites are named after the nearby Canyon Diablo, which lies about three to four miles west of the crater.
